Daisy Edgar-Jones is Kate Cooper, a former tornado chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with one during her college years who now studies storm patterns from the safety of screens in New York.

After being lured back into the great outdoors by her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos) to test an innovative tracking system, she meets Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), the charming and reckless social media superstar who thrives on posting his adventures online in pursuit of tornadoes which, the more dangerous, the better. As storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed, and Kate, Tyler, and their competing teams find themselves squarely in the path of multiple storm systems converging on Oklahoma, forcing them to fight for their life.
