Deadpool 3 is in the hands of Shawn Levy
Deadpool 3 has just been confirmed and fans of the foul-mouthed superhero in tights can’t help but be happy. The saga, which was launched for the time on the big screen in 2016 under the direction of Tim Miller (Love, Death & Robots, Terminator – Dark Destiny) then saw the next chapter in 2018 with the ball that arrived in the hands of David Leitch (John Wick, Bullet Train).
Officially, with this third piece, there will be the return of Shawn Levy (A Night at the Museum, Free Guy), who recently directed Ryan Reynolds, interpreter of the Mercenary Chatty, in The Adam Project, available on Netflix from ’11 March 2022.
Well, Reynolds himself, as reported by CBR.com, seems to have provided additional detail on Deadpool 3, although the details on the feature film are still scarce for the most part. The actor commented on a tweet from well-known actress Leslie Uggams (Two Weeks in Another Town, Check the Black King) who played blind old Al (diminutive of Althea) in both Deadpool 1 and the second.
The legendary diva was praising The Adam Project, reporting, at the end of her message, that Levy would direct Deadpool. The artist promptly commented on it, reporting Uggams’ words and writing: “Thank you very much, Leslie, see you soon.” Who is already aware that the interpreter will also make an appearance in the film in question? Very early to tell, but it wouldn’t be so strange as she is a very effective comic character in the franchise.
While this still very vague news on the subject spreads, we hope that in the coming months we can really discover more tangible content on the realization, which will now also officially be part of the MCU after Disney acquires 20th Century Studios.
