Eagle Movie Review: Ravi Teja has a separate style. Style and energy are seen in commercial films. He has a habit of trying different genres and experiments, keeping commercial films aside occasionally. In ‘Eagle’ promotional films, ‘This is a commercial film. But, there is no regular commerciality. A different film’ said Ravi Teja. And how was the movie? Cinematographer Karthik Ghattamaneni, who made a different film like ‘Surya vs Surya’ as a director, has made this film. Check out the review.
Eagle Movie Story:
Nalini Rao (Anupama Parameswaran) is a journalist. The short article writes that nobody knows the whereabouts of Sahadeva Varma (Ravi Teja), the man who brought the cotton grown on the hills in Talakona forests, the rare cotton cloth made from it, and those cloths to fame abroad. Along with that, CBI raids the paper office. Finally, Nalini Rao loses her job. Curiosity starts in her that every Sahadeva Varma.
Why did central government forces, naxals, and terrorists come to kill Sahadeva Varma on the hill in Talakona forests? What is Sahadeva Varma’s past? What is the role of his henchman Jai (Navadeep) in the past and present? What is the love story between Sahadeva Varma, and Rachna (Kavya Thapar)? Finally, can anyone catch Sahadeva Varma? Or? You have to watch the movie to know.
Eagle Movie Analysis:
A new type of commercial cinema has started to appear in Indian cinema. Movies are playing with scenes that elevate character and heroism rather than trusting in story and narration. The story becomes too short because of the action scenes. ‘KGF’, ‘Vikram’, and ‘Jailor’ movies are examples of that. ‘Eagle’ is such a film. Heroism and action scenes are not the only reasons why the three films mentioned above have achieved success at the pan-India level. Emotion has been carried in those stories. In the ‘Eagle,’ it was scarce.
Why should I say that… Action scenes, cinematography, and Ravi Teja’s performance in ‘Eagle’ are amazing. But, before the short story, all that became clear. Since the start of ‘Eagle’, the hero has been given tremendous elevation. Manibabu Karanam has written poignant dialogues as if every scene is a climax. But… those elevations don’t last long. Why so much buildup for the hero? Who is he? The question that starts in the mind of the viewer will not be answered for a long time. Many times Manibabu Karanam’s dialogues dominated the scene. Wrote more than necessary. At one point the rhymes made the audience uncomfortable.
The first half ended with all the elevations. Therefore, the action scenes are pleasing but leave the viewer with an unknown unsatisfied feeling. Going into the story after the interval brings clarity. The fight is also good in the background of PUBG. It feels better than first off. Devastation, annihilation, explosion… that homily of death is rooted in a love story. The strength has decreased. The idea of a hero is good for humanity. The message didn’t register because it was told in a short scene. Dave Zand’s music is somewhat new. This is a film with high technical standards. The People Media Factory build values appear on the screen. It is evident in every scene that no expense is spared. The brand value of the production house is visible. If the masses like it, it will not be difficult to get a return for the cost of TG Vishwa Prasad.
Eagle Movie Actors Performance:
Ravi Teja’s usual wit and energy are absent from Sahadeva Varma’s role. But, this movie has mass. There is heroism in his performance. Mass Maharaja once again showed the actor in him. Kavya Thapar is less visible. Well done to the extent of his role. The pairing of Ravi Teja and Kavya Thapar is good.
Anupama does not matter in the role of a journalist. Navadeep, Srinivas Avarsala, Madhubala, Vinay Roy, and Nitin Mehta have adapted to their roles. Among all the artists, Ajay Ghosh and Srinivasa Reddy are most remembered by the audience. His comedy timing gives relief in between.
‘Eagle’ is an action entertainer with a larger-than-life story. Audiences who enjoy action scenes and dialogues can go to theaters comfortably. It is better to go without any expectations. But there are things that will please Ravi Teja’s fans. As such, it cannot be said to be extraordinary. There will be a small exit. Action movie lovers & diehard Ravi Teja fans will like it. A good setup has been prepared for the sequel. If you look at the ending… it means that a huge action film is ready to be made.
