Gangs of Godavari Movie is the most prestigious film in Vishvak Sen’s career. Shailesh Kolanu, who gained special recognition as a director with the “Hit” series of films, directed this movie. This movie, which was made as an action thriller, came in front of the audience today amid many expectations. And..Saindhav got on the track of success? Or? Through this review, let’s find out what kind of result Venky got with his prestigious 75th movie.
Gangs of Godavari Movie Story:
Chandraprastha is a city in India. There Saindhav (Venkatesh) lives with his daughter Gayatri (Sara). Manogya (Shraddha Srinath) who likes Saindhav and accompanies them stays next door. While Saindhav is living his daughter’s life, Gayatri’s eyes fall back one day at school. Determining it to be a genetic problem, the doctors say that an injection will have to be given which will cost Rs.17 crores. Saindhav, a crane operator in the port, agrees to a deal for the injection. But.. Why was Saindhav, a simple crane operator, given such a big deal? What did Saindhav do in the past? Why is all the cartel group in Chandraprastha afraid of Saindhav? Did Saindhav save his baby in the end? Or? That is the story of this film.
Analysis:
In action thrillers, the hero should have a target. It is like a book rule. No matter how many adventures the hero has to reach it, no matter how many fights he does, and no matter how many people he kills, the audience will receive it positively. So.. the key point here is not the hero, but the purpose! But.. if the hero movie Asantham fights for that target and finally achieves everything except that? It would be a pointless fight. Similarly, a decision taken by the director for an emotional touch in Saindhav.. made the hero character without justification. This raises the question that the two-and-a-half-hour-long film is for this purpose.
The first half hour of Saindhav goes with a very plain narration. After that, the movie picks up speed as the actual story begins. At one point, the hero’s journey is like the director Shailesh created a miracle. It is also interesting to see the hero establish the target properly by the time of the interval and close with a good action block. With this.. Saindhav, who had been running okay until then, started to hope that he would get the next level tempo in the second off. With that scope in the story, one also gets the feeling that the first one ended a bit disappointingly.
Although Saindhav has a chance to fill the second off with full action, the director has laid a big pedestal for emotions. In that order, Saindhav’s movie has become emotionally damaged. For the sake of any emotion, the director cut the story that had been running till then, and the director completely spoiled the mood of the auditorium. Later, he filled the movie with emotionally missing action sequences, making the climax even heavier. Amidst all the fluff, not a single emotion is properly displayed.. Saindhav remains an average movie.
Actors Performance:
Victory Venkatesh worked hard for Saindhav. Venky’s intense appearance especially in the action sequences gives goosebumps. There is no need to tell about the ability of this senior hero in emotional scenes. Venkatesh has done full justice to his character in every respect. And Venkatesh has to say the main thing later about Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Seeing how he has transformed into the character of Vikas, one cannot help but fall in love. Wow.. What an actor he is! Andrea shines better than Shraddha Srinath. Actors like Ruhani Sharma and Arya used fillers well.
Technical Department:
Technically, Santosh Narayanan’s background score is the biggest asset of Saindhav’s film. Although the songs are just ok, Santhosh Narayanan has done magic with the BGM. Manikandhan’s cinematography looks okay, but the editing department is a total disappointment. Especially when the second screenplay has all the loopholes, the editor has completely failed to skip that portion. However.. here the freedom that the editor got from the director comes into measure. Finally the director Shailesh. The reason why hit series films are so impressive is the detailed screenplay in those films. Shailesh and Saindhav’s failure here is a bit surprising. Shailesh is also fully responsible for the emotional damage done to the film. These are the factors that have brought Saindhav’s level down a lot.
