Japan: Kollywood’s top hero Karthi received back-to-back hits last year. Karthik’s films like ‘Ponniyan Selvan Part 1‘, ‘Viruman’ and ‘Sardar’ were commercially successful at the box office. And ‘Ponniyin Selvan Part 2‘ which was released this year also got a good response. Karthi is now busy doing a series of films. Karthi’s latest movie is ‘Japan‘. Rajamurugan is directing this movie. 

Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film will be produced in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. While Anu Emmanuel is playing the heroine opposite Karthi in this movie, Jivi Prakash Kumar is composing the music. But recently an exciting update has come out from this movie. Karthi’s Japanese film is based on the real-life incidents of Thiruvarur Murugan, who committed a series of robberies in Tamil Nadu.

Thiruvarur Murugan looted gold jewelry and diamonds worth around Rs 13 crore from Lalitha jewelry shop in Tiruchi, Tamil Nadu. This robbery which took place in the year 2019 created a great sensation across the country. Police said that apart from this one robbery, he has also committed robbery in many southern states like Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. But the police caught him only once in Karnataka. 

Tamil Nadu police have formed special teams more than 50 times to catch this Murugan, but they have not been able to catch him. Everyone came to know about Thiruvarur Murugan only after the robbery of a jewelry shop in Tiruchi itself. So far Murugan along with his accomplices are said to have looted more than 100 crores. In 2020, Murugan died of AIDS in jail.

And now there is a campaign in Kollywood that a Japanese movie is being made based on this true Dongodi story. But Karti suggested some changes in this story. Why did Murugan have to become a thief? How did he steal gold from the prestigious gold shops? Some commercial elements are also being added in the Japanese movie. Also, it seems that the film unit is taking many precautions in the matter of climax. 

But some suggest that Murugan did not plan the climax with real-life events, while others say that the story should end with a happy ending. And let’s see how the movie team will plan the climax of the Japan movie. However, an official announcement is yet to be made on this news which is currently being circulated. This movie, which is currently in the shooting stage, will come before the audience as a Diwali gift.
