Operation Valentine Movie Story:

Arjun Dev (Varun Tej) is a wing commander in the Indian Air Force. His wife Ahana Gill (Manushi Chillar) is also a wing commander. But… will the radar give instructions? The Air Force will undertake a project called Operation Vajra. Its purpose was to fly fighter jets at low altitudes to avoid enemy radar sightings and thus save the lives of pilots. While the project tests were going on… Indian soldiers were attacked in Pulwama. What did Arjun do then? Why did Arjun and Ahana fight?

How did Pakistan react after the Balakot strike by the Indian Air Force in retaliation for the Pulwama incident? What did Arjun do during the air strike? What caused Kabir (Navadeep) to lose his life in Operation Vajra? It should be seen on the silver screen.

Operation Valentine Movie Analysis:

After the Pulwama incident, people know that the Indian Air Force conducted a surgical strike on Pakistan’s Balakot. Recently, Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Fighter’ came out in the background of aerial action inspired by that real incident. In that movie, now in ‘Operation Valentine’ we see some common points. But, the way the story is told is different. Along with the characterizations of the hero and heroines, the scenes shown before and after the Pulwama incident will be new.

The story of ‘Operation Valentine’ is not new. Hence, the audience will not be surprised by the twists. Only when there is an emotional bonding with the characters on the screen… one can travel with the story. In terms of such human emotions, director Shakti Pratap Singh has not written strong scenes. A soldier puts his life on the line to save a child’s life in the Pulwama incident. That scene could have been shot better.

It is easy for the audience to understand that Navadeep’s character is dead after the movie starts. However… Navdeep, Varun Tej, and Manushi Chillar did not establish the bonding properly. Operation Vajra does not provide complete clarity. So the first meal will be soso. No moments are traveling at the speed of a fighter jet. The second half, especially the attack scenes on Pakistan gives goosebumps.

The aerial action genre is a costly affair. Aerial combat and visual effects are essential for those fighter jet scenes. Those who have seen Hollywood movies ‘Top Gun’ and ‘Fighter’ will understand the CG work in ‘Operation Valentine’. But, if you know the budget of this movie (making cost 42 crores, out of which VFX cost 5 crores)… it can be said that they have given a better output for that cost.

Mickey J Mayer’s music lacks sparkle. It fits the story. Sai Madhav Burra conveys a weighty feeling in brief dialogues. The words of the Pakistani army general saying ‘India’s time has come’ and the words of the hero and heroine saying ‘You are not a warrior but a savior’ seem normal now. But, those scenes brought strength. The cinematography of Hari K Vedantam is good.

Operation Valentine Movie Actors Performance:

Varun Tej did justice to the role of Arjun Dev. He has the believable personality of a fighter jet pilot. A perfect appt. The care taken in terms of hairstyle and make-up can be seen on the screen. Manushi Chillar as Ahana Gill is okay. Navdeep’s role is short. Even the impact is shown on the screen! Ali Reza, Ruhani Sharma, and Paresh Pahuja were seen in the roles of squadron leaders. Shatap Phigar gave a good performance in the role of Commander in Chief Rajeev Bakhshi. Sampath Raj, Anish Kuruvilla, and Abhinav Gomatham will be seen in key roles.

Every day Army, Air Force, and Navy are risking their lives for the security of the country. The film is a salute to the courage and bravery shown by the Air Force after the Pulwama incident. Those who love the country may not see any flaws in ‘Operation Valentine’. If you look at the movie… it is difficult to engage from start to end. Some moments give goosebumps. But, limited to some extent. So… go to the theatres? don’t you It’s the audience’s choice! Varun Tej must make another attempt for success. But… this is a film that takes him to another level as an actor.
